Stayed here for a family holiday and to use the studio to record a few demo tracks. It worked perfectly on both counts. The gite is well equipped and allowed my wife and I our own space upstairs while our daughter and her family had privacy downstairs. Pool, toy store and well-equipped games room ensured no-one was bored. Perfect location for touring. I recorded 4 demo tracks in the excellent, professional studio where Joanne's superb production skills helped me find the sound and ambiance I wanted. Overall highly recommended.
Tranquil stay with great Hosts
Left on Feb 27, 2019 for a stay in Feb 2019Perfect location for visiting both sides of the Cotentin Peninsula & 20 minutes to Carentan. The Gite has everything you could need in a quiet yet accessible location. Sharon & Joanne are great Hosts, very welcoming & very helpful with advice. We slept very comfortably & were glad to find a well equipped kitchen so we could cook for ourselves easily. Lovely area with lots to do - we look forward to going back again soon.

Perfect.........
This was our first family holiday abroad and what a holiday! The gite was clean, tidy and well equipped for a family of four. Also plenty of room for my parents to join us for a long weekend. We made full use of the pool with the children enjoying a daily dip with their large inflatables. The plentiful garden and games room also kept them entertained, with the wifi helping on a couple of rainy afternoons. Perfect location - quiet and calm, yet easy access to local town for perfectly adequate supermarket and large busy market too. Mont Caste was beautiful for dog walking and the Normandy beaches very emotive. Joanne and Sharon were very knowledgable and helpful yet respectful of our family time. Joanne even mended our daughter's flamingo - genuinely lovely hosts. We enjoyed our holiday so much, we booked to return again before we had even left! Can't wait :) The Hogans

A great gite, sleeping up to 8, lovely swimming pool and garden area with games room. Beautifully situated in Normandy, ideal for visiting the beaches and cemeteries. A short drive to the most wonderfully long sandy beaches. Highly recommend, the owners are friendly and helpful and extremely knowledgeable.

Had a fantastic holiday here, as songwriters using the studio, and as a couple wishing to explore the D Day beaches. Friendly helpful hosts, gorgeous private gite with gardens and pool, in beautiful surroundings.
Beautiful, superbly equiped gite in gorgeous location
Joanne and Sharon have created a very homely , comfortable holiday gite with a music studio for musicians, families and couples alike. There is a private lawned garden, a bbq, a swimming pool and games room, and bikes to hire, The gite is very clean comfortable, and well laid out. Viefacile is in an ideal location for exploring the Normandy D Day beaches and loads of local history. There are beautiful beaches a short drive away, for both families and quiet couple getaways. Gorgeous countryside and many activities/places of local interest. Great roads!! Joanne and Sharon have put a lot of effort into providing a well equipped holiday home, and were very lovely hosts. As musicians and writers it is a great creative escape. quiet, calm, with facilitates to relax and record. We have had a superb week at the gite and sad to leave!! Thank you Joanne and Sharon for sharing your time, lovely company and your skills and knowledge.
Superb family holiday - Our party consisted of four adults and one little boy nearly two years old. We had chosen this Gite as it offered privacy to both families. We discovered that the downstairs living room wasn't used as we congregated in the upstairs living/dining/kitchen area. The barbeque area was lovely and well used during our time there. At night it was lit by coloured lights. We particularly loved the pool as it was heated by solar energy and a much needed relief from the temperatures during the day. Joanne and Sharon have ensured that families are well catered for. A shed full of toys, a games room and trampoline meant that no one was bored.Our grandson could make use of the large grassy area and was safe inside the Gite. One part of our holiday that we must advertise is the Professional Recording Studio on site. For those who have dreamed of making their own recordings, this is a 'state of the art' studio. Joanne is a highly skilled music producer who can help you create great music. Jim Strummer
A place where children could be children and where all the family are appreciated - Prior to travelling, Joanne was in complete dialogue with us, she was happy to help with any questions we had. She offered travel advice regarding getting there as well as local attractions and activities for all the family. She also advised that due to the bank holiday all shops locally would be closed, so we needed to stock up before arriving; a big help. Slightly set aback from the Route de Carentan, was the quaintest most idyllic looking gite. For us, it was first impressions this was just right, set in its own little garden, Its beauty is truly something to be experienced in person. We arrived to a warm welcome from Joanne and shown around. We were treated to a bottle of wine and wood for the log fire, which we enjoyed while the children were in bed sound asleep. This was a family holiday that fulfilled on every level. There was plenty for the children to do, we even rented bikes from Joanne for the entire family to use. Our boys particularly enjoyed the cycle track and are looking forward to completing it once they are older. The swings, football, swingball etc showed that this was a house that valued families. The games room went down a hit and proved quite popular with all the children. Joanne was there to meet all our needs. Sharon was also polite and welcoming on contact. We look forward to going back. Lovely pleasant people.
Home from home - This was our second visit and Joanne, Sharon and Hannah greeted us like long lost friends. We immediately feel at home here. The Gite is always spotless and if there are any problems Joanne is there to sort it out. Joanne's knowledge of the area is also very useful with brilliant tips on where to go and what to see. We love it here and will definitely come back.
